Lil’ Inker Designs Release Hop Day 2 ~

Welcome to Day 2 of the October Release Hop for Lil’ Inker Designs!!  Hopefully you’ve found your way here from the amazing Alicia’s blog.  If not, comment here first, and then bop on back to Laura’s to get started off right!

I have a nice and flat one for you today!  After spending lots of money every year sending all my Xmas cards, I’m ready to send some straight through the regular post!  Sorry family…I’m hoping for no big bows, buttons or extra postage this year!  Maybe they’ll get out in time that way…

lid gingerbread man

*Not my gumdrop buttons!*  Sorry, every time I see a gingerbread man, this little phrase pops in my head.  lol

I started by cutting some scarlet shimmer paper in 1/2 inch strips and adhering them to the card front.  The sentiment is from the new Jolly & Joyful sentiments.  The little man from the new Christmas Bits die set has some rhinestone buttons and eyes and is swiped with some Gingerbread ink from VersaMagic.  His frosting lines are white opal Liquid Pearls.  I felt it needed just a tad more color so I pulled out the Holly Jolly dies.

Awesome Amy is your next stop.  Don’t forget to comment along the way for your chance at two $10 gift certificates to Lil’ Inker Designs!!  Thanks for stopping by!

At first glance, I thought you'd baked and decorated a wee gingerbread man for your card, that's how realistic he appears! Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous card! From the strips to the 'star of the show' cookie ornament, this is beyond adorable!

Very festive and mercifully flat (maybe the gingerbread man can become the new "Flat Stanley"...). I like the hand-made striped paper!
