Lil’ Inker Designs November Hop Day 5 ~

Welcome back to the final day of the Lil’ Inker Designs new release hop!  You should have arrived here from Emily’s blog.  If not, head on back to Laura’s to start off right and see all the amazing talent along the way!  I chose to work with my favorite new stamp from this release – Dear Santa – and make a quick tag to pop on a gift bag that I know I’ll end up using (yes, because I really hate to wrap presents!)

I colored him up exactly as I did in the beginning of the week down to the white fluff on his beard and liquid applique on the hat and suit trim.  Hey, when you find something you love to do, just keep on doing it!  lol  The To: and From: is actually from the No Peeking set.  The little bow up in the corner is the new mini bow stacked on top of the small bow and tied together with a little red button.  Good enough to pack a punch and be done in no time!

Your next stop on this hop is the wonderful Debby!  Leave comments along the way for your chance to win one of the four $10 gift certificates to the Lil’ Inker Designs store!  A winner will be chosen at random from a random blog, so the more you comment, the better your chances.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have an inky weekend!  ;o) lyss

Lil’ Inker Designs November Hop Day 4 ~

Hi there!  I’m back today with another new Sugar Kissed Cottage stamp set, A Snowman’s Soul.  Another sweet, vintage scene of two children building a snowman with their pup in tow.  When I have an image with this much detail, I like to leave it as the focal point…that also makes it easier to choose colors and not have to match to a patterned paper.

A little scene was created with Stickles lined hills with each layer up on a very thin foam tape.  The sky was added by sponging on some Distress Tumbled Glass ink.

So darling, right?  Gotta love those sweet scenes!  A quick view of the set:

Lil’ Inker Designs November Hop Day 3 ~

Welcome to day 3 of the new release for Lil’ Inker Designs!  I have a couple of goodies to show you today.  I’ve got a new set from the Sugar Kissed Cottage line called No Peeking, as well as the new mini bow die!  Hopefully, you’ve bopped on over from Jen’s blog.  If not, head on back to Laura’s to get on the right track!

I decided to make another little gift set for today.

no peeking mini bow duo

Both the box and card base are stamped with the *No Peeking!* sentiment from the set, as well as some cream polka dots.

These little guys are so sweet!  I love how she’s shhhsing him.  The image is colored with Copics and Spica pens for lots of glitter and shine!  The ornaments on the tree were dotted with liquid enamel and glitter nail polish.  I did something a little different with the mini bow die…did you spot it yet?

mini bow present

I cut the looped part of the bow 4 times and put them all together to make a large topper for the present box.  A little button is tied to the center with some embroidery floss.  A little sentiment flag hanging off the edge reminds just one more time to not open it till Christmas!  LOL

Once I’d made this topper bow, all I could think about was a felt flower for my new purse.  So off I ran to my crafty cave to make one!

I really wanted this to hold together for a long time, so I actually threaded a needle and sewed the pieces together!!  If you know me at all, this is a very large feat! ;o)  I used 5 of the loopy bow pieces…after it was all done, I didn’t like the knot of the thread, so I glued a button down.  Now I can’t wait to make more of these in lots of sizes!  How cute would the trio of sizes be together!?!  Here are the products I used today

Ok, so this is a hop!  And this hop has prizes, so don’t forget to comment along the way.  Two secret blogs will have a $10 gift certificate to the Lil’ Inker Designs store picked randomly from the comments.  The more you comment, the better your chances!  Your next stop along this hop is Alicia!  Have a blast, and thank you for stopping by!  :o) lyss

Lil’ Inker Designs November Hop Day 1 ~

Hi there, LID friends!  Welcome to the first day of the Lil’ Inker Designs release hop!  There are so many goodies for you this month including 3 new sets from the Sugar Kissed Cottage line.  Today I’m introducing you to Dear Santa – a darling vintage Santa along with 7 sentiments.
I chose to put this little guy on a gift box.  I truly hate wrapping presents, so this will be easy to pop something into at the last minute and maybe use year after year.  Yep, I’m lazy like that!  LOL

The papers are from Echo Park: This & That Christmas.  Love them!  If you hurry, some of the paper pads may still be available in the store!  The Ho, Ho, Ho sentiment is actually in a straight line.  I just inked up the first *Ho* three times and fit it into the jolly old guys lines.  It’s also embossed for a little extra umph.

He is colored with Copics.  I added some white fluff to his beard, hair and eyebrows.  The only stuff I had left had some glitter in it, making him a little more *magical*!  The trim on his hat and suit is covered in Liquid Applique.  You just let it dry overnight and then heat it with the heat gun to make it poof!

The silk bow on top needed a little something, so I embossed another of the sentiments from the set on a Spellbinders tag.  A few little jingle bells – both rusty and red – tied in some twine finish this little package off!

Here’s the set in it’s entirety

Good News ~

Morning, friends!  I have a few good things to share with you today.  '

1.  201211_bloghopbox2

Lil’ Inker Designs is having a new release hop beginning on Monday, Nov 12.  The best part?  There will be prizes! ;o)

2.  Lil Inker Designs is having a great sale that is going on through November 11th.  There are lots of stamp sets and dies that are on sale for 25% off!!  Make sure you use code NOV25OFF at checkout!  Just follow this link to see the items that are on sale: http://www.lilinkerdesigns.com/category/sale

3.  I’m excited to say that the political ads are over!  I don’t share my political views…I’m not educated enough about politics to not trip all over my words, so I think it’s best that I keep it all to myself.  However, I do have to say that I am super proud of my fellow Coloradoans that have decided that marijuana should be treated like alcohol!!  In other words, adults 21 years of age and older can partake in the mary j by state law.  Now, I don’t partake in it, but I have tons of friends and family that do.  It’s better for you than alcohol, doesn’t make you all angry (like alcohol can do) and isn’t the *gateway* drug that has been pounded into our brains for so very long!  I could go on and on but I won’t bore you with all the details of it.  I hope this leads to some new discussion in our wonderful country about the classification of this drug and how it should be regulated…talk about saving some money and time of our officials!!  Not to mention keeping the money here in the US and not with the Mexican drug cartels.  The best part of this amendment is that the first 40 million annually gained in taxes from the sale of marijuana will go to our public schools.

All righty, tighty!  That’s all I have for you today!  I’m hoping to get some good crafting done this week, so maybe I’ll see you sooner rather than later!  Have a super day!!  ;o) lyss
