Hi there! I’m bopping along with the July Papertrey Blog Hop today. Here is the inspiration photo
I honestly didn’t believe that I would be able to use all the colors together. Once I started playing with my new favorite stamp set (and everyone else’s apparently!), I was able to get them all in. Well, kind of…I don’t have simply chartreuse in a useable form (old sponge pad that never gave a good color), so I used Ranger Distress crushed olive. I’m not thrilled with my new melon berry pad either, but as long as I was able to do use it as a second generation stamping, I’m okay with it.
So here’s the order of the large rose: second generation harvest gold, harvest gold, summer sunrise. The trio of roses as well as the background paper is second generation melon berry topped with berry sorbet. The background paper also has a second generation harvest gold script stamped over it. I’m so not happy with the ribbon. I’m sure I’ll end up ripping this off and replacing it with seam binding or white organza or something. In the essence of time (my family wants to eat…can you believe it??), however, I had to stick with what I have.
K, have fun on the hop! Thanks so much for stopping by! ;o) lyss

What a super sweet card, loving those roses.
Alyssa, this is super pretty! I also thought there were a lot of colours to use, and was surprised! I love how you used the white ribbon, the perfect finishing touch!
I just love this set, and your card is gorgeous! I wish I had my Sweet Life set already! ;)
So pretty!
This card is so devine!!!
Lovely! I love the little flowers as a background pattern with the large flowers as a focal point!
love the mix of big & small roses & your color choices for the layers

Your card makes me want this set bad! Just beautiful!
Well I think your card has a luscious vintage feel and I adore it! :)
Oooooo...nice NICE background!! Beautiful card!!
Gorgeous! I love the background you created especially. (I'm not a huge fan of my melon berry either but trying to make it work...)
So pretty with all those roses. It's a great stamp set.
I love all your roses- as an embellishment and background too. Beautiful.
Hi alyssa,
Thanks so much for the comment you left on my blog this morning.
In answer to your question, yes, I did use the pattern Nichole provided, for 6 colours. However, when doing my 6th colour, I didn't like it with the others, so I went back to my first one (my favourite-- the floral pattern) and just added that in as #6.
Have a great day!
Wow, so beautiful Alyssa!
Love your card! Love the background you created. I finally got my set in the mail and am so excited to play with it! :)
