Welcome back to the final day of the October Release Hop for Lil’ Inker Designs!! You should have found your way here from the amazing Alicia’s blog. If not, bop on back to Laura’s to get started off right!
I have a few cards for you today that began with an idea surrounding the embossing paste trend that’s circling the crafty world right now. I used an old cereal box and cut the Christmas cover plate with it. I had to use a metal shim to get it to cut through the thicker material. Once I had my template all cut out, I taped it down to a card front and spread the embossing paste all over.
Once it was dry, I put the template back over and sponged it with distress inks – festive berries and evergreen bough. A couple of rhinestones later and this is done and easy to mail! While this card was drying, I taped the template to another card front and sprayed it with a Mister Huey’s mist.
All I added to this one was some embroidery floss and a couple pearls. Again, easy to mail! Go me! I thought the template turned out kind of cool, so I adhered it to another card front. I just couldn’t bear to throw it away
Whoops! Just noticed this is a little crooked. Sorry…that’s what I get for editing photos while multi tasking! ha! Because this is already a little thick, all I added is a little embroidery floss bow. Should still pass through the machines and be easy to mail!
I couldn’t leave you without one last little tag though! Lil’ Inker has come out with larger sizes of the jingle bell dies. The largest size is perfect for a little tag.
I drew inspiration from the Polar Express. The boy is told to believe and he’ll still be able to hear the bell from Santa’s sleigh. Too fun! This will be perfect to decorate up a gift bag this holiday season. The sentiment is from the Holly Jolly Sentiments set.
Alright, thanks so much for sticking with me through this post! Head on over to Amy's fantastic blog! Don’t forget to comment along the way for your chance at two $10 gift certificates to Lil’ Inker Designs!! Thanks for stopping by!
