FHF: Kaleidoscope Krew's Color Challenge #2 ~

Hey all!   The Kaleidoscope Krew, from the Friends Having Fun blog, is back with another color challenge for May.   Our sponsor this month is the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps.  Bugaboo has a great selection of digi stamps ranging from the super cute to the sassy ladies!  Fun, affordable and fantastic to color!
Here are the colors that Alison chose for May:
Don't these colors just say Southwest to you?  That may just be me, since I grew up in the Four Corners area (Utah, Colorado, New Mexico & Arizona) very close to a Navajo reservation.  These colors are very prevalent in Southwestern art.  I chose to work with Stampin Up's Bermuda Bay and Really Rust and PTI's Lemon Tart.
I colored up a little Skelekinz girl called No Sunshine.  She comes with a little sentiment that says, "Ain't no sunshine when you're gone", that I printed on the inside of the card.  When I went to grab some Really Rust, I was out!  Guess that means I need to go shopping... :o)  Since I didn't have the paper to incorporate the Terracotta color, I used some rusty colored Copics for her hair.  Her umbrella, boots and bone buttons on her coat are colored with Copics and Sakura Glaze pens.  These pens are so great!  It's almost like embossing without all the mess and fuss.  Here's a little detail shot.  Oh, I also popped up the umbrella for fun!
You should really play along with this challenge!  One randomly drawn lucky winner will receive 7 stamps of their choice from Bugaboo stamps!  Just remember to link up your creation to this post on the Friends Having Fun blog by June 5th for your chance to win!

Be sure to bop around to the rest of the Kaleidoscope Krew's blogs for some amazing inspiration!

The colors listed separately definitely remind me of Southwestern colors. But, on your card, not at all! Funny, huh. I love the little skull paper. It looks pretty good with the little girl missing her friends!
